Welcome, and thanks for using Tiksy (the “Service”). These Terms of Service (“Terms”) are a contract between you and the operators of Tiksy (“we”, “our”, “us”). By using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.
1. What the Service does
Tiksy is a free, stateless web tool that helps you:
- Fetch no-watermark MP4 versions of public TikTok videos by pasting a link.
- Optionally extract MP3 audio from those videos.
- Optionally download photo slideshow posts.
- Submit several links at once for bulk download.
The Service uses third-party extraction APIs (such as tikwm.com and ssstik.io) and streams the resulting media from TikTok’s own CDN through our proxy endpoint to your browser. We do not host TikTok content on our servers.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 13 years old to use the Service (or older if your country requires it). By using the Service, you confirm that you meet this requirement and that nothing in your local law prevents you from using a tool like this.
3. Acceptable use
You agree to use the Service only for lawful, personal, and reasonable purposes:
- Saving your own TikTok videos for backup or archive.
- Downloading content the creator has explicitly permitted you to save.
- Educational, journalistic, research, or fair-use purposes consistent with applicable copyright law.
- Reasonable individual use that does not interfere with other users.
4. Prohibited use
You agree not to use the Service to:
- Download copyrighted videos, audio, or images for redistribution, resale, or monetization without the rights holder’s permission.
- Re-upload downloaded content to other platforms in a way that violates the original creator’s rights or the destination platform’s rules.
- Mass-scrape, mirror, or systematically harvest TikTok content at scale.
- Circumvent rate limits, abuse the proxy endpoint, or attempt to overload, probe, or reverse-engineer the Service in ways that harm it.
- Download or process content that is illegal where you live, including child sexual abuse material, non-consensual intimate imagery, or terrorism material.
- Use the Service to harass, defame, dox, or otherwise harm another person.
- Resell access to the Service or wrap it inside a paid product without our written permission.
We may, at any time and without notice, block IPs, throttle traffic, or refuse requests that we reasonably believe violate these Terms.
5. Intellectual property
- Creators own their content. TikTok videos, audio, images, captions, and slideshows belong to the people who made them, and may also be subject to TikTok’s own rights and licenses.
- We do not grant you a license to any TikTok content. Whether you are allowed to download a particular video is a question between you, the creator, and applicable copyright law.
- Our own assets (the Tiksy name, logo, site design, and original code) belong to us. You may not copy, clone, or rebrand the Service without permission.
- Trademarks referenced on the site (including “TikTok”) belong to their respective owners. We are not affiliated with TikTok or ByteDance Ltd.
6. DMCA and copyright complaints
If you believe content accessible through our proxy infringes your copyright, please see our DMCA / Copyright Policy. Because we do not host the underlying content, the most effective takedown route is usually directly with TikTok.
7. Service “as is”; no warranties
The Service is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. Specifically, we do not promise that the Service will work for every TikTok URL, that downloads will always succeed, that the Service will always be available, or that any third-party API we depend on will keep functioning.
8. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent allowed by law, in no event will we, our operators, contributors, or hosting providers be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, revenues, data, goodwill, or other intangible losses, arising out of or in connection with your use of the Service.
Our total aggregate liability for any claim relating to the Service is limited to USD 50 or the amount you have paid us in the last 12 months, whichever is greater. Since the Service is free, that number will usually be USD 50.
9. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold us harmless from any claim, demand, loss, or expense (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of: (a) your use of the Service; (b) your violation of these Terms; (c) your violation of any law or third-party right; or (d) any content you choose to download, share, or republish using the Service.
10. Termination
We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time, with or without notice, if we believe you are violating these Terms or harming other users. You can stop using the Service at any time — there is no account to delete.
11. Changes to the Service and Terms
We may update, change, or discontinue features at any time. We may also update these Terms; when we do, we will change the “Last updated” date at the top, and for material changes we will post a notice on the site.
12. Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, United States, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules, except where mandatory consumer-protection rules of your home country grant you additional rights — those still apply to you. You agree that any dispute will be resolved on an individual basis (no class actions), unless your local law gives you a non-waivable right to sue where you live.
13. Miscellaneous
- If any part of these Terms is held unenforceable, the rest will remain in effect.
- Our failure to enforce a right is not a waiver of that right.
- These Terms, plus the Privacy Policy, DMCA Policy, and Cookie Policy, are the entire agreement between you and us about the Service.
