The fastest method (no app)
You don't need to install anything. In the TikTok app, open the video, tap Share, then Copy link. Open your browser, paste the link into the downloader, and tap Download β choose the standard MP4 for a clean, watermark-free file.
- 1. Copy link: Share β Copy link inside TikTok.
- 2. Paste: drop it into the downloader in Safari or Chrome.
- 3. Save: tap Download, then save to Files or Photos.
Where does the file go on iPhone?
When you download, iOS asks where to save. Choose 'Save to Files' to keep it in the Files app (On My iPhone β Downloads), or use the share sheet's 'Save Video' to send it straight to Photos. From Files you can move it to Photos anytime by tapping Share β Save Video.
If the video plays only audio
Downloaded an HD version and got sound with a black screen? That's the HEVC codec. iPhones from iOS 11 on usually play HEVC fine, but if a file misbehaves, re-download the standard (H.264) version β it plays everywhere on iOS without issue.
Saving photo slideshows
TikTok photo carousels can be saved too. Paste the link and the downloader detects the slideshow, letting you grab each image or the whole set as a ZIP β handy when a post is images rather than video.
Tips for a clean save
Always prefer the watermark-free download over an in-app save if you plan to re-share or edit. And copy the link with Share β Copy link rather than typing it β short vm.tiktok.com links work fine too.
